Trailia is an AI-powered trail running coaching platform. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Data We Collect

Account information: Email address, name, and profile details you provide during registration.
Training data: Activity data synced from connected devices (Garmin, Strava, Polar), including distance, pace, heart rate, elevation, and cadence.
Goals and preferences: Race goals, training preferences, experience level, and schedule settings.
Usage data: How you interact with the platform, feature usage, and session information.

How We Use Your Data

Generate personalized AI training plans
Provide race predictions and readiness assessments
Create adaptive workout recommendations
Calculate training load and fitness metrics
Send workout reminders and training notifications (with your consent)
Improve our AI algorithms using anonymized, aggregated data

Artificial Intelligence Transparency Statement

Trailia uses the Google Gemini API as its AI provider to generate personalized training plans, race predictions, readiness assessments, recovery/fueling recommendations, and AI coach chat responses from your training data, goals, and messages.

Your data is not used to train AI models. We use Gemini through a billing-enabled Google API account; under Google's terms, prompts and responses sent through billing-enabled Gemini API projects are not used by Google for product improvement or model training by default, and Trailia does not opt in to any such sharing.

AI-based processing is a core part of the Trailia service, and you consent to it by creating an account and agreeing to this Privacy Policy. Optional AI features (like AI coach chat) are only used if you choose to use them. You can withdraw consent at any time by discontinuing optional AI features, deleting your account, or contacting us via support in your account settings — though this may limit our ability to provide AI-generated training plans and related functionality. We will update this statement to reflect changes in applicable laws, regulations, or partner policies (including Garmin's).

Third-Party Integrations

When you connect Garmin, Strava, or Polar, we access activity data as authorized by each platform's OAuth flow. We only read activity data - we never post to your accounts.

Data Storage and Security

Data is stored securely with encryption at rest and in transit
We do not sell your personal data to third parties
You can export all your data in JSON format from account settings
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time
